In case you hadn’t noticed, The Lonely Beast ABC just got a shiny Retina overhaul for the latest 1.3 iPad update. All of Chris’ illustrations look extra-crisp, colours are more vivid and – perhaps best of all – the jelly wobbliness has been increased by a massive 37%.

The ‘war on comments’, he reckons, might just be an echo of a fourth estate that’s having trouble adjusting to the idea of an unwashed public disagreeing with their sacred opinions.
